Hollywood

2PM First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, 1765 La Baig Ave

Every Sunday we hold a 2PM indoor gathering in the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood sanctuary!

With the exception of RLA Kids, registration beforehand will no longer be required to attend. We do still ask that you wear a mask during the gathering out of respect for others.

Watch the announcement video and the FAQ video below for more details and scroll to the “Kids and Family” section of below for information about registering kids.

More Details

Can I volunteer?

Yes! Our onsite gatherings are amazing times of worship, celebration, and teaching, but they require a lot of volunteers to make them happen. You can sign up to serve at reality.la/volunteer.

What will the kids be doing? What safety protocols are in place for Kids Ministry?

You can take a look at all the plans and safety protocols we have in place by reading this document.

What if Kids Ministry reaches capacity before I can sign my kids up?

Families who come to Kids Min on Sunday without registering online first will be put on a standby list and we will connect with them if space opens up. Kids not able to join Kids Min will be given activity packets, crayons, and snacks to take into the main sanctuary with their family.

Will there be a Moms' Room area?

Yes! There will be a room behind the stage for moms to feed, change, or care for their babies. Keep an eye out for signage to point you there when you enter the sanctuary area.

Are masks required?

We request that anyone 2 years old and above wear a mask unless you have a medical exemption. We’ll miss your smile, but are grateful for your care and respect for everyone attending our gathering!

Will the gathering be socially distanced?

Yes, we will have distanced seating (families and pods please cluster together) and ask that you practice social distancing whenever possible.

Will you provide sanitizer?

Yes, hand sanitization stations will be provided and there will be frequent sanitization of all high-touch surfaces, including restrooms, both before and during gatherings.

Will an offering be taken?

All giving currently takes place via the Pushpay app or online at reality.la/give.

What if I’m sick, but not with COVID-19?

Please show thoughtfulness and lovingkindness toward others and stay home if you have any symptoms or are sick in any way.

Can I come even if I belong to an at-risk group?

If you are in an at-risk group, we strongly recommend that you continue to attend programs and gatherings remotely online until you can be assured of being safe around others.

What if someone who attended a gathering later tests positive?

If we become aware that someone who attended the gathering has tested positive for COVID-19, we will ask them for a list of anyone they had close contact with while here and make efforts to alert those people. We will monitor reports and guidelines and alert you if there appears to be a reason to take any additional appropriate action.

Kids and Family

As we rebuild our Kids Min volunteer team, we currently have a limited-capacity kids ministry of up to 30 potty-trained children ages preschool-4th grade. Families will need to pre-register each of their kids before we meet on Sunday, meaning, unfortunately, that you can’t just walk up and drop your kids off without signing up. Please be gracious and flexible if we don’t have capacity on any given week. Sign-ups will function on a first-come, first-served basis and will open each Monday at realityla.com. If you keep your kids with you during the gathering, we will still have a snack and activity packet for you to grab as you head in. You can click here for all the specifics of how Kids Ministry will function at this time.

Sunday Youth Connects

RLA Youth meets at First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood immediately after our 2PM gathering until 4PM to connect with one another, share snacks, and spend time considering applications of God’s word from the sermon that was preached. Parents can drop their kids off and hang around until 4PM. Youth Connects meet outside up the stairs to the right immediately after passing the “Kids Teaching” building (see map below).

Location and Parking

Both parking areas are off a one-way street: you will need to enter Yucca/La Baig off Gower. Volunteers will be present day-of to direct you to the appropriate lot.

Hope Center

5PM The Hope Center, 4903 Fountain Ave

Every Sunday we hold a 5PM indoor gathering in the Hope Center sanctuary!

RLA Kids is currently not available at the Hope Center gathering. Watch the announcement video and this FAQ video for more details and scroll to the “Kids and Family” section below for information about kids’ teachings.

Location and Parking

The parking lots are off N Edgemont just north of Fountain, but there is limited capacity, so please come prepared to (and allow enough time to) find street parking.

We’d love for you to join us this week!

Each Sunday we gather from all walks of life and all parts of the city. We meet online and onsite and dress the same way we dress the rest of the week. In other words, we’re probably a lot like you. We also love seeing new faces.

Every week we retell the story of Jesus to recenter our lives on what matters most. This includes worshiping God through song, hearing Scripture preached, and responding in prayer, communion, and more song. Friendly volunteers will be available to help you find your way around and assist with any questions you may have. Hope to see you this week!
